Headlight restoration, without the haze.
What San Antonio drivers should know before, during, and after their appointment.
How much does restoration cost?+
The regular price is $100 for both exterior headlight lenses. Heavy exterior oxidation does not raise the price, and mobile service is included within the listed service area.
How long does an appointment take?+
Most appointments take approximately 45–60 minutes. Previous coatings, heavy pitting, or extensive surface damage can require additional time.
Do you come to my home or workplace?+
Yes. Clearly Refined is fully mobile and brings its own water and power. The work area must still support safe, dry coating application.
Why do headlights turn yellow or cloudy?+
Most modern lenses are polycarbonate protected by a factory UV layer. Sunlight, Texas heat, chemicals, road debris, and age degrade that layer; exposed plastic then oxidizes and develops haze or yellowing.
Why restore instead of replace?+
Replacement assemblies can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars after parts and labor. Restoration treats the existing exterior lenses at your location, usually in less than an hour.
Why do some DIY kits fade quickly?+
Some kits improve shine without fully removing failed coating or adding durable UV protection. Clearly Refined removes damaged material, progressively refines the surface, polishes it, and applies UV ceramic protection.
How long can the protection last?+
Headlight Magic UV Ceramic Coating is designed to provide up to three years of protection when properly applied, cured, and maintained. “Up to” is a product-performance claim, not a promise that every vehicle will reach exactly three years.
Can you repair moisture inside the headlight?+
No. Clearly Refined restores the exterior lens surface. Internal condensation usually indicates a seal or assembly problem that requires a different repair.
Can you remove scratches, pitting, cracks, or crazing?+
Many exterior scratches and some pitting can be substantially improved. Structural cracks, deep fractures, and internal crazing may remain or require replacement. Axel will assess the lens before beginning.
Will my headlights look completely new?+
Most good candidates show a dramatic, near-new improvement. Final clarity depends on lens age, previous work, depth of damage, and internal condition.
What if a previous coating is present?+
Failed or incompatible exterior coating generally must be removed before the lens can be properly refined and re-coated.
Can I drive immediately?+
If necessary, yes—but protecting the lenses during initial cure produces the best outcome. Avoid rain, sprinklers, gravel roads, bugs, and unnecessary highway driving during the first 24 hours.
When can I wash the vehicle?+
Keep the headlights completely dry for 24 hours and do not wash the vehicle for 48 hours. Full curing continues over several days.
What happens if rain is expected?+
The appointment may need suitable cover or a new date. Coating should not be applied when moisture, excessive heat, or lens temperature could interfere with bonding and curing.
How should I maintain the lenses?+
Use gentle hand-washing practices and a pH-neutral automotive shampoo. Avoid abrasives, harsh chemicals, degreasers, and polishing products on the protected lenses.
How can I pay?+
Payment is due after completion. Cash, Cash App, and Venmo are accepted.
